Configure Excitel Router in simple steps, Your Excitel router comes with a factory default setup.
If you are not sure how to reset Excitel router, all you have to do is stick a pin in the reset point for 10 to 20 seconds. After that, the router will begin to blink LEDs to indicate that the reset was successful.
Excitel Router Configuration
1. Connect Your PC to the Wifi Router:
- Select the SSID (network name) from your available WiFi networks and enter the password.
- If you don’t know the default SSID and password, check the label on the back of the Excitel router.
2. Access the Router’s Configuration Page:
- Open a browser on your PC and enter the Excitel router login IP address “192.168.1.1” in the address bar. This will bring up the login page for your Excitel router.
3. Log In to the Router:
- Enter the default credentials: Excitel router login username and password:
- Username: “excitel”
- Default password for Excitel router: “exc@123″
4. Configure Network Settings:
- Click on the “NET” tab.
- Under the “WAN” section, make the following changes:
- VLAN ID: Enter “3947″ (this is common, but it might differ based on your location—use the VLAN ID provided by your ISP).
- Username and Password: Enter the credentials provided by your Internet Service Provider (via SMS at first time of installation). The username might look like your 10 digit phone number, e.g., 14***0*893, and the password is the one you use to log in to the Excitel app.
- Click “OK” to save these settings. You have successfully configure your Excitel router.
