LED & BATTERY CONNECTION

Here we will see connection of Led bulb and Battery.

BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF CIRCUITS

Usually digital electronics will use DC supply. So let’s understand the connection of LED bulb with battery. On the other hand, it is important to understand some AC concepts.

In a direct current (DC) circuit, current flows in one direction only. Where one pole remains positive on the other hand other pole is always negative. However, in an alternating current (AC) circuit both poles alternate between negative and positive and the direction of the current (electron flow) reverses periodically (time to time).

1. BATTERY

When we talk about batteries that means DC supply. Battery (batteries are always DC) has two terminal one is positive (+) and other is negative (–) see diagram below

2. LED BULB

LED also has two terminal anode (positive +) and cathode (negative –)

WORKING

When positive terminal of battery connected to positive terminal of LED bulb and negative terminal of battery connected to negative terminal of LED bulb then led bulb will glow and this is known as Forward Bias condition.
